Instagram Channel Participation & Privacy Guidelines
Friends and followers of Coach Bott (@coachbott) or Young Athlete - Education for Parents (@young_athlete_development) are permitted to share, re-post, comment, like, flag, tag, rate, ask Q’s, participate in polls and contests and converse with others and with content posted within these social media channels.
Coach Bott & Young Athlete - Education for Parents are committed to the free and open exchange of ideas that are evidence-informed and backed by a vetted level of scientific rigor. Coach Bott’s social media administrators & invited guests reserve the right to block or remove the content of any post that violates the above policies and is not evidence informed.
Posts and commentary on social media websites reflect the interpretations of the individuals posting them and not necessarily those of the University of which Coach Bott is employed or the Canadian health care system. If you have a concern about any posted content, or about any content that has been removed by a site administrator, please contact the social media page directly through a direct message.
The social media administrators review comments and posts on these channels regularly to ensure any issues or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
Please respect others who comment on these channels. Please avoid comments that are insensitive, specifically comments that personally attack others or are inappropriate, inflammatory, offensive, profane, obscene, or sexually explicit. Comments of this nature will be deleted.
Due to legal protections for personal privacy, administrators will not respond to posts or direct messages that address individual health concerns or training-related questions.
Posts that contain names of specific individuals as part of a complaint, concern or compliment will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the circumstances, at the discretion of social media administrators, the post or comment may be removed to protect the privacy of individuals.
No personal athlete information will be shared on these channels such as test results or performance milestones. Likeness will also not be shared without written expressed permission by the athlete and the legal guardian and in general, images of minors who are not public figures will not be used.
